What I would keep if I were to develop this game again in the future:

  1. My location, item and player classes
  2. The amount of extra functionality: map, input history and the ability to click on items to input their name.

There a few things I would change if I were to develop this game again in the future:

  1. Use std::map to convert from strings to enum and vice versa
  2. Use the std::find to get words from a string
  3. Use better assets for the game (including the map) as the current asthetic is inconsistent
  4. Find a better method to deal with the unqiue rooms - possible have template functions in the locations class to accomodate for different behavoius in the locations
